In one ear and out the other

Boy tries to remove marble from brother's ear

An eight-year-old Romanian boy tried to remove a marble which got into his brother's ear by pushing it with a pencil so it would come out of the other ear.

The boy told his mother he wanted to put into practice what he had heard at school.

He said his teacher told him that 'everything with him goes in one ear and out the other', reports the Evenimentul Zilei newspaper.

Fortunately the boys' mother managed to stop the 'operation'. She took the six-year-old to the hospital to see if his ear was damaged.

Dr Viorel Nicolescu, from the Hospital in Drobeta Turnu Severin, Mehedinti county, finally removed the marble.

He said his hearing was not damaged but it could have been if his brother pushed a little harder.
